I beloved ot have this mix in the closet. I have made this as gifts and include chcolate chips , nuts, sprinkles, dried cherries, cranberries. What a welcome smell to come home to when it is then easy to whip up a batch of homemade cookies

This is convenient, only not very tasty. The powdered milk is nutritious, but gives it an odd flavor. I tried several variations, and concluded up adding things every time to make the texture right. I would rather utilise an individual recipe that I know volition work. This might be skilful for kickoff cooks or kids who like to cook and aren't real picky about the results.

I decided that since I had all the ingredients for this mix that I would give it a whirl. Information technology simply took a few minutes to throw information technology together. I've tried some of the recipes that go with it and I dear information technology. It is incredibly convenient. I can make a batch of cookies faster than I can tear open up a handbag. :)

I love this stuff. Nosotros proceed it on hand to brand cookies at the drop of a hat.

the really expert thing about this recipe, is that you really cant mess it upwards, i made a huge mistake while using it, and my cookies turned out fine.

I made some homemade Lead with my Atomic number 82 maker, it was dry out, so I thought I would make Atomic number 82 cookies. I loved this recipe, a niggling skeptical at first because it didn't call for dark-brown saccharide. I did add together an actress egg because my concoction was on the dry side. I know this doesn't always work, simply information technology did for me. It turned out crawly. Baked them for 8 minutes, kids gobbled them up. Volition exist trying all the rest of the BCM recipes that are provided. Skilful chore!

Pros: easy & handy! Cons: too high of a carbohydrate to flour ratio? I made the choc flake & coconut ones so far, and they were processed similar in terms of sugary taste. Not bad if yous similar that, but many cookie recipes accept less carbohydrate than flour and then next time if I make this I will reduce the saccharide past a loving cup. The bad side of doing that is I might simply be left with enough for 3.5 batches of cookies instead of four. Also, I think the sifting step might really help to thoroughly mix the ingredients, I wonder if people have had dissimilar results because of unevenly mixed ingredients? (For example, too much baking powder clumped in one of the cups taken or or not enough, etc.?)

When you brand this recipe, I would recommend using a finely ground dry milk powder. The one I used has larger rounds that resisted my sifting actions. I made basic sugar cookies and peanut butter cookies from this basic mix. Since this basic recipe is office of what guaranteed success or lack thereof, I have to study that the peanut butter cookies came out pretty smashing and the basic carbohydrate cookies were flat. I wouldn't apply my remaining basic cookie mix to make any more carbohydrate cookies simply I would definitely exist making more peanut butter cookies.

Horrible recipe. I made everything that this mix was to be used for just still yet it came out looking like water. None of the recipes even tasted proficient. I love to bake and well, I know that I will never use this recipe for anything ever again.

Good for gift-giving. I've only made the brownies from this recipe...just I tin can only eat them with tons of frosting...otherwise, they aren't very expert.

I like this stuff! It'southward so elementary my 11 an xiii year old kids have been using it with the Basic Chocolate Drop recipe. They can make their ain when they beg for sweets. Very economical, I finally found a apply for that powdered milk thats been sitting up in my cabinet. The cookies are nothing fancy only sense of taste very good for the modest ingredients. I remember the kids can attempt the peanut butter ones next.

Wonderful recipe! I'thou but surprised it doesn't have more than reviews!!! because information technology taste wonderful! I recall that the dough is a flake too soft only I added actress flour! and so you can add an extra cup of flour or as much flour every bit y'all think yous need until the dough is a picayune scrap tougher enough for you to make a shape. Then add together anything you like on your cookies and Voila! a very tasty and like shooting fish in a barrel cookie mix!!!

these were amazing!! I used coconut oil instead of butter and they came out and so wonderful. I didn't melt the coconut only put information technology in solid and added a petty water.

WOW! I made the chocolate drop cookies with my nieces (four and 6) and it was so easy and they loved information technology! The cookies were nice and moist and gooey, I only made sixteen instead of xviii but then again we didn't really measure out, just dopped them onto the pan! Really great!

This is a good recipe and will keep for after use if y'all want. I added like another cup of flour to get in more into a dough. Yous demand to fiddle with it though, because information technology is definatly not plenty flour for the dough you demand for thick cookies.

This recipe is crawly! I accept tried it for chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies and making the basic cookie mix ahead of time makes making cookies WAYYY easier! Easy, easy, piece of cake (and quick)! A little butter heavy, even for someone who likes butter. Calculation cinnamon similar another reader suggested was smart. I'm gonna try this one with chocolate chips adjacent fourth dimension :)
ten/31/2003
I burnt these cookies the first fourth dimension I fabricated them, just I think it has more to do with my oven than the recipe itself. Once I get the cooking time figured out, I think they will exist great!

We've used this recipe for the past two years as the base for our bake auction cookies. I prefer to reduce the butter and/or add together a bit more mix for amend consistancy. We make 15+ different kinds of cookies by calculation different fruit, nuts, candies, kokosnoot, etc.

I fabricated this and have simply had problems with information technology. The "dough" when baked, spreads out and becomes gooey instead of hardening into cookies. Information technology is swell if you lot only like to eat chocolate chip cookie dough.

This makes whatever busy mother's life a whole simpler! Only add your wet ingredients forth with whatever else, and your kids' friends will recall y'all are a full-time working mom/Betty Crocker!

This is a simple recipe for 9 unlike cookies, y'all just make the basic recipe, and so add to information technology depending on what type of cookie you desire! I love this! It made making cookies so simple! I loved the Peanut Butter! I had problems with the saccharide recipe, I think that information technology calls for to much butter, it fabricated the batter to runny!

I've tried making chocolate fleck cookies with this recipe twice, both times were failures. The flavor was pretty practiced, only as the cookies baked, they spread out style too thin...even if I chilled the dough earlier blistering. Not very happy with the results at all.
eleven/28/2018
I tried the chocolate bit and sugar cookies. I'm not a fan. Cookies spread out to a thin crisp cookie. Not what I wanted. I'll go dorsum to my originals
05/16/2017
After adding the wet ingredients the batter is crumbly and difficult to form the cookie. Any suggestions to prepare this trouble.

I thought it was a little odd with the dry milk considering it is commonly normal milk
08/04/2013
I made this mix and used in in pb cookies. They turned out ok, but spread quite a bit. I'm looking frontwards to trying it in more recipes. After using 2 c. for the pb mix I put the remaining mix in pint canning jars for like shooting fish in a barrel use the side by side fourth dimension I make cookies.

had zip but bug with this. My sister and I used the scaled downward pick but it just flopped. Absolutely we aren't very good at sugar cookies for some reason but this was ridiculous. Information technology was too soupy to coil out to even cutting the cookies added a major amount of flour only somewhen gave up and just cooked information technology in a cake pan.

This is now my favorite cookie mix! My only changes were that when I made my start batch I added 1/2 as much vanilla and used orange excerpt for the other half and rather than using melted butter I used shortening (I was running out of butter and the shop was closed!) Chilling the dough after cut out the shapes - while the oven preheated - helped them maintain their shapes. Family LOVED them. Going to use the basic mix to make white chocolate chip/macadamia nut cookies today per special request.

This is great to keep on hand.
